And jump scares it delivers, in droves of screaming like you just encountered a marathon attended by the guy from that one Edvard Munch painting. Nauseating detail and shock value aside, it more or less says "This game is about jump scares" all on its own. Now I could go into how this shows that he's declined in sanity since the first game but I don't have to because-HOLY SHIT RARGLE BLARGLE SPACE ZOMBIE IN YO FACE-within less than 5 minutes of playing the damn game. ![]() Dead Space 2 begins with Isaac Clarke, an engineer and also unluckiest bastard this side of Uranus in the local interplanetary loony bin on a space station in our own system. ![]() In my last review I talked about EA's space bound scare fest Dead Space, and of course I naturally move on to its sequel, Dead Space 2 which is set sometime after the events of the first game and raises bar higher than its predecessor in terms of jump scares per minute and frantic cursing out of the nearest rargle blargle space zombie lunging for your face with a cutlery collection.
